We love these colorful products! The Danish designer Dorte Soland Wang supplies us with the beautiful knitted towels and wiping rags made from 100% cotton. The designer’s grandmother turned old thread scraps into wipes that she knitted herself. Because 40, 50 years ago, nothing was wasted in the household. This philosophy is the basis for the knitted scarves and rags from Solwang Design.
The washcloths knitted in waffle look are durable and hard-wearing - a good purchase for your daily personal care. The use of washcloths has declined in recent years. Since we all have showers, we have almost only washed our bodies with our hands under running water.
A washcloth helps you to use solid soap again instead of shower gels and to save packaging and water consumption when cleaning your body.
The washcloths are certified according to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and do not contain any remaining stock from production.

How did you wash yourself in grandmother's day?
It was only in the 1950s that apartments in Germany were gradually equipped with so-called wet rooms. In the past, showering was not common and there were no liquid shower gels that caused a lot of packaging waste in their plastic containers.
Bathing day was once a week and the daily body cleaning was done with a bar of soap on the sink (wash bowl). The washcloth or wash glove was very useful!
